1. The Short Version
OneSentence is designed to be privacy-first. We do not collect, store, or transmit your voice recordings or transcribed text.
We only collect data that you explicitly choose to provide, such as optional feedback when uninstalling the application.
2. Data Processing
OneSentence uses local AI models (OpenAI's Whisper for speech-to-text and Supertonic for text-to-speech) that run entirely on your device's hardware (Apple Silicon Neural Engine).
Audio Data: When you speak, the audio is recorded to a temporary file on your device to facilitate processing. This file is permanently deleted immediately after transcription is complete. It is never uploaded to the cloud.
Text Data: Text sent to the text-to-speech engine is processed locally and never leaves your computer.
Optional Feedback: If you choose to provide feedback through the "Uninstall" or "Maintenance" tools, the rating and text you provide are transmitted securely to our backend for product improvement. This transmission includes basic metadata (app version and OS version) but never includes your voice or transcribed content.
3. Network Access
The application only accesses the internet for three specific purposes:
- Initial Model Download: AI models are downloaded securely upon first launch.
- Updates: Checking for the latest version of the app.
- Feedback Submission: Transmitting your optional feedback if you explicitly click "Submit & Quit".
No user content (voice or transcribed text) is ever included in these network requests.
4. Third-Party Services
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party tracking SDKs in the app.
